About Who We Are

My name is Kyle. I am the founder of FieldFirst Training. This website began with a simple idea: better training creates better providers.

After years of working as a paramedic, educator, and field training officer, I saw firsthand how difficult it can be to find training resources that actually reflect what providers face in the field. There are plenty of textbooks, presentations, and test questions out there, but real patient care is rarely that straightforward. It requires critical thinking, good decision making, communication, and the ability to adapt when things don’t go exactly as planned.

That’s why I created FieldFirst Training.

FieldFirst provides realistic scenarios, lesson plans, scoresheets, and professional development resources designed with the field in mind. The goal isn’t to replace the fundamentals. It’s to help educators take those fundamentals a step further by giving providers opportunities to think through realistic situations, make decisions, and learn from them.

Whether you’re training a brand new EMT or paramedic, working with a new partner, developing your team, or simply trying to keep your own skills sharp, I want FieldFirst to give you practical resources you can actually use.

Everything here is built from the perspective of someone who still works in EMS, still teaches, and understands the challenges that come with preparing providers for the real world.
